Meet Alina
Alina Zhuk is a professional violinist and handpan player based in Calgary, Canada. She graduated from the prestigious Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music (Kyiv Conservatory) with a degree in Violin Performance. Alina’s musical journey began early, by the age of 13, she was already performing with symphony orchestras and touring across Europe, gaining invaluable stage experience.
Her international career took off in 2018 when she began performing aboard luxury cruise lines, including Holland America Line and Carnival Cruise Line, as part of elite string ensembles. These performances brought her to audiences around the world and solidified her reputation as a world-class performer.
Now based in Calgary, Alina continues to share her passion through a unique fusion of classical violin, handpan and meditative instruments. Alongside performing, she is also deeply involved in sound therapy, offering private sessions, group sound baths, and healing experiences using traditional Himalayan singing bowls and other sacred sound tools. Her music invites deep relaxation, presence, and emotional connection, whether on stage or in a therapeutic setting.
Meet Geison
Geison Hidalgo is originally from Venezuela and he got his entire formation as a violin player in the world famous Venezuelan program, “El Sistema”. There, he studied in the “Simon Bolivar” Conservatory and belonged to the “Teresa Carreño” Youth Orchestra, where he participated in many international tours playing in the first class theaters, most prestigious scenarios and festivals across Europe such as: Berlin Philharmonie, Wiener Philharmonie, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Royal Festival Hall in London, Beethovenfest in Bonn, Salzburg Festival, Lae iszhalle in Hamburg, La Halle aux Grains in Toulouse and Stavanger Concert Hall.
With the TCYO he also had the chance to work and play concerts with the world class conductors: Gustavo Dudamel, Claudio Abbado, Sir Simon Rattle, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos among others. Geison also studied Conducting with Maestra Teresa Hernández and Ulyses Ascanio and received formation from many others such as: Per Borin, Denis Rouger, Rodolfo Saglimbeni, David Cubek and Dick Van Gasteren.
As part of his integral artistic formation, Geison is also Salsa Teacher/Dancer and these abilities combined with his solid violin formation make of Geison a great performer as a Violin Entertainer, position where he has been working on Cruise Ships for the last 05 years.
