What services do you offer?

We’re a professional violin duo based in Calgary, offering live string performances for weddings, proposals, private celebrations, corporate events, and more. From romantic ceremonies to upscale galas, we tailor each performance to reflect your vision and the atmosphere of your event.

What kind of music do you play?

We perform a wide variety of music, from classical masterpieces to pop, jazz, rock, movie soundtracks, Latin hits, and cultural selections from around the world. Our Calgary string duo specializes in adapting music from India, Pakistan, Brazil, Italy, France, Spain, and more to create a truly personalized experience.

What are your fees?

Our rates vary depending on the type of event, duration, and travel. For a personalized quote, feel free to contact us with your event details, we’re happy to work within your vision and budget.

How far in advance should I book?

As early as possible! Our calendar fills up quickly, especially during wedding season. Many clients book 6–12 months in advance to secure their preferred date.

How long do you usually perform?

We offer flexible packages ranging from 60 minutes to 3+ hours, depending on your event needs. Whether it's a short ceremony or an all-evening celebration, our string duo from Calgary will set the perfect tone.

Where can I find your music catalog?

Can I request a song?

Absolutely! We love arranging custom violin pieces for weddings and events. If your special request isn't in our existing repertoire, email us at quorastrings@gmail.com and we’ll provide a custom quote for the arrangement.

Do you perform at outdoor events?

Yes! Our wireless, battery-powered setup is perfect for outdoor ceremonies, receptions, or garden parties. We bring clear, amplified sound without needing a power source, just beautiful music in any setting.

What does “amplified” mean?

“Amplified” means we use a professional wireless sound system to enhance the volume and clarity of our violins. It’s ideal for large or outdoor venues and ensures your guests hear every note, without losing the natural beauty of the instruments.

Do you travel outside Calgary?

Yes! We love traveling to nearby towns and venues beyond Calgary. Travel fees apply for locations more than 50 km outside the city ($0.50/km), and we’ll include that in your custom quote.

What about outside of Canada?

We’re always open to international opportunities! Travel and accommodation would be added to the performance agreement. Just let us know where your event is; we’re happy to bring our music anywhere in the world.

Do you have any packages for kids or birthday parties?

Yes, we do! Our Disney and animation-themed set is perfect for children’s parties and family-friendly events. Expect familiar melodies, fun energy, and even a little sparkle in our setup.

Do I need to pay in full upfront?

Not at all! We require a 50% deposit to reserve your date. The remaining balance can be paid in flexible installments, with full payment due by the event day.

I love your work, but the price feels high.

We understand that great events require thoughtful budgeting. Our pricing reflects the value we deliver, including years of classical training, custom music arrangements, premium equipment, and the energy we bring to every performance. That said, we’re happy to explore custom packages that suit your needs without compromising quality.

Do you only perform at private events? I’d love to see you live.

Most of our performances are private, but we occasionally play at public events, wedding expos, and showcases around Calgary. Follow us on social media to stay updated on upcoming public appearances!

Will you return to performing on cruise ships?

For now, our focus is on bringing music to beautiful events here in Calgary and beyond. Cruise ships were an amazing chapter in our journey and we’re loving this new one even more! But who knows…never say never!

Do you offer violin lessons?

Yes! Teaching is a very important side of our profession. Supported with official music degrees, we offer private violin lessons for all ages and levels, both in-person (Calgary area) and online.

What does Quora mean?

Great question! The word Quorum refers to the minimum number of members required in a group or assembly to make its actions valid. Now, Quora is our little twist on that, we like to say it’s the most essential and meaningful part of the Quorum.

In other words, we’re not just part of the ensemble, we’re the ones who bring the magic to life.
